Steve Sasman completed a long road trip on his electric car: 48 states in the US, visiting 107 Tesla stores during the long tour. He certainly has stories to tell, and here are a few highlights.

The small e-car will compete directly against Nissan Leaf and Renault Zoe, that are already well established in the European market. The Peugeot e-208 is convincing motorists with its style, 30 minute rapid charging and 340 km / 211 mile range, measured according to the WLTP standard.

David Slotnick discovered a mobile internet connection that worked in every country where he traveled. Above all, the cost was fixed – no big surprising roaming charges. He used Skyroam Wi-Fi router with a 4G SIM card, and paid for the internet access per day. Another option if you are staying a week or longer in the same country is to buy a pre-paid SIM card, and insert it into the Wi-Fi router. Pre-paid is usually cheaper for long stays.
Accor Hotels is a corporation that owns multiple hotel brands, but now it is trying something new. Fast Co reports of container-like cabins that, for instance, event organizers can rent and quickly set up a simple hotel complex. We have stayed a night in a real fully-equipped container at a camping site in north Norway, and it was fine. The cabins Accor Hotels has built look nice with wood panels and all.
Seat introduced an electric concept car Minimo specifically designed for car sharing businesses. The company claims the tiny e-car should reduce car sharing costs by 50%. Owned by Volkswagen, Seat is planning to join the VW car sharing service. The Minimo is planned to have 5G mobile network connectivity, 100 km / 62 mile range, and top speed of 90 km/h / 56 mph.
