Volkswagen is already actively promoting its line of electric cars that are scheduled to come out of production lines in 2020 and 2022. The company is so confident that the I.D. product range electric vehicles are ready to fascinate reviewers that it is letting reporters to try them out. A reviewer was so excited about the ID Buzz van that he wanted to buy one right away. Here is the video.

At the moment, in early 2018, the VW ID Buzz is a prototype that can be driven on the road like any other vehicle. Volkswagen got a permission from Santa Monica police in California to let car reviewers drive the ID vehicles on a road. Police was controlling traffic and monitoring the action, but nonetheless, test drivers could drive a short round along Santa Monica roads.

The production model of the ID Buzz will come with autonomous driving, but during the test drive, the chauffeur had to control the vehicle.
